Yes, these formats are supported, but currently in "Wiagra Easy Video Joiner" tool only. This tool is installed together with "Wiagra Video Joiner" and you can find it in "Start/Programs/Wiagra/Wiagra Video Joiner/Easy Joiners" submenu of your Windows menu.

Speed of the joining process depends on many factors. See following recommendations:

Joining process is fastest, when you are about to merge files with same video and audio properties (codec, resolution, frame rate, etc.). In this case, there must be marked "Use faster method if possible" check box in "More setting" marker.

In case you need to merge files with different properties, then you can speeded up the process:

set different output codec (e.g. "DivX" codec is much more faster than "Cinepak" codec).
reinstall your codecs (your installed codecs may be anyhow corrupted)
set lower output resolution ("320x240" is faster than "720x480")
try disable active effects (every effect takes some time for its implementation).

Wiagra Video Joiner can use slower joining method as well as faster. Slower method is used for example in case you need to change output format or if you are joining different format's files or files with different properties.
Audio/Video 'NOT SUPPORTED' problem means that slower method cannot read the audio/video stream from this file (usually AVI or DivX). You may fix the problem by installing properly codec this video file is created by. We are using audio codecs from http://www.free-codecs.com/Audio_Codecs.htm and video codec we use (and the best we know) is ffdshow. Please, first uninstall any installed codec from your PC, in case you want to install this one.

Wiagra software, with plug-in support, lets you know, if MPEG-2 plug-in is necessary for your files. Just try to open your file and the information message will appear if the MPEG-2 plug-in is needful.

MPEG-2 encoding and decoding is patented method, and as such we have to paid for its using to the patent owner. As we don't want to increase Wiagra programs prices, we decided to implement a plug-ins support into our programs and in case you really need MPEG-2 encoding/decoding you may buy this plug-in separately.

Disadvantages of recompression could be:

Slower speed of joining contrary to another joiners
Different quality contrary to original files, but only in case you are joining formats that uses lossy compression, such as JPEG format use.

Benefits of recompression are:

You may join different input formats into another output format. (You may for example join AVI file with MPEG file into one output DAT file.)
Input files and output file may be different quality and sizes. (You may for example join file with 320x240 pixels resolution with 640x480 pixels resolution and set output resolution 720x576 - VCD for joined file)
Of course, you may change a lot of options (frame rate, output codec DivX, MPEG-2, etc., audio quality)

The reason of slower joining is simple. Wiagra Video Joiner on contrary to another joiners uses recompression. See benefits and disadvantages of recompression above. Anyhow, we currently want to add possibility for merging files without recompressing. Possibility of merging MPEG files without recompressing was implemented to version 2.02

Example: to join your images into MPEG video with 15 seconds of video per image, please follow these steps:

1. Add your images into file list using "Add files..." button
2. Reorder them as you wish, using "Move Up", "Move Down" buttons or "Drag & Drop".
3. Click on "Join files..." button.
4. Change your output file format to MPEG. You can change the format by:

4a) change your output file name directly to mpeg (e.g. "my_joined_images.mpeg")
4b) click "Output setting >>>" button and select MPEG format in the format list.

5) Set duration of video per image typing new output "Frame rate (fps)" value

5a) to "0.07" (1 / 15 = 0.066) for 15 seconds of video per image
5b) to "0.1" value (1 / 10 = 0.1) for 10 seconds of video per image

6) Unmark "Keep original duration" check box.
7) Finally click on "START joining" button.

You should receive your registration email within a few minutes after registration. There will be your username (same as your email) and password for logging into our download area where you can download your purchased products (key file, plug-in, etc.).

There are two possible ways for registering of your key file:

1. Save the KeyFile into Wiagra Video Joiner installation directory. The default installation directory is "c:\Program Files\Bucek\Wvj1"

OR

2. Save the KeyFile anywhere on the disk, execute Wiagra Video Joiner and drop the KeyFile over Wiagra Video Joiner main window using Drag&Drop method.

You may create output video file encoded by any codec (such as Indeo video, DivX, MPEG-2, etc.), which is installed in your system. You may choose any codec by clicking on "Format options..." button in output process dialog (this button is disabled while there is not selected Format with possibility of format setting). There will be appearing a window, where you may choose your selected codec. DivX is one of AVI codecs so you should select AVI as an output file extension and set DivX codec as described above.

Plug-in is a program that brings more functionality into another program. For example, MPEG-2 plug-in brings MPEG-2 encoding and decoding into Wiagra programs with plug-ins support. We plan to build more plug-ins for you. For example Watermark plug-in will brings possibility to get your own logo onto your videos in Wiagra software.
